The Therapeutic Approach
My therapeutic approach is integrative counselling. This means I draw from a range of modalities including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), psychodynamic theory and person centred therapy. I also incorporate somatic awareness where appropriate which allows us to pay attention to how the experiences are held in the body as well as the mind. This flexible way of working means therapy is tailored to you, rather than you having to fit into a single method.
The modalities above support a deeper understanding of the connection between thoughts, emotions and bodily experiences. This combined approach can help bring awareness to patterns, increase emotional insight and support processing of life experiences in a grounded and embodied way.
A wide range of issues can be worked with this includes anxiety, stress, bereavement, relationship difficulties, life transitions and workplace pressures alongside any personal experiences that feel important to bring into the therapeutic space.
Sessions are offered online, by telephone or as walk-and-talk therapy within the calm surroundings of Kew Gardens. Each setting provides a confidential and supportive environment designed to allow open exploration at a pace that feels appropriate for the individual.
