About Me
Hello, I’m Harjeet Hayre a qualified integrative psychotherapist working with young people and adults. As a registered member of the BACP. I work in line with the BACP Ethical Framework which means your confidentiality, safety and best interests are always central to the work we do together.
Inner Compass UK is a counselling and psychotherapy practice offering a safe, confidential and supportive space where you can explore what is going on in your life at your own pace. I listen fully without judgement, interruption or pressure and to support you in making sense of your thoughts, emotions and experiences in a way that feels steady and grounded.
Background
I have experience working with young people aged 10 to 17 from a wide range of backgrounds, supporting them through the challenges of home life, school and the many issues that can arise in a world where digital technology plays such a significant role. I understand that adolescence can be a complex time of change and my aim is to provide a safe, supportive space where young people feel heard, understood and able to express themselves openly.
Alongside this, I have worked with adult NHS clients presenting with a broad range of difficulties, from anxiety and depression through to more complex mental health concerns, including suicidal thoughts and risk. These roles have given me extensive experience in safeguarding and the careful assessment and management of risk, always placing the wellbeing and safety of my clients at the centre of my practice.
Trust, confidentiality and respect are the foundations of my therapeutic work. I am committed to creating a compassionate and non judgemental environment where clients feel safe to explore their thoughts and experiences, knowing they will be treated with dignity, empathy and professionalism throughout our work together.
My approach is integrative, which means I draw on different therapeutic models to suit you as an individual. This includes trauma informed Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) , somatic approaches and psychodynamic so we can work with both the mind and the body where needed. Sessions are shaped around what you bring, rather than a fixed way of working.
I offer sessions online, by phone, face to face and in person through walk and talk therapy in the peaceful surroundings of Kew Gardens. My aim is to provide a grounded and consistent space where you can explore what is happening in your life and begin to find clarity, direction and emotional support that fits you.
